Privacy Policy
Passwords ("the App") is a local password manager that helps you store and manage passwords on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, stored, and your choices.
Titles, usernames/email, category, encrypted password blobs, and metadata such as lastAccessed. All entries are stored locally on the device using Hive.
The App can use device biometric or PIN mechanisms to lock/unlock access. The App only uses the platform biometric APIs to verify identity; no biometric data or PINs are accessed, stored, or transmitted by the App.
When you copy or share a password, the plaintext value is placed into the system clipboard or shared via the platform share dialog; this action is initiated by you.
The App does not collect analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry by default.
Password entries are stored only on the device and are not uploaded to any server by the App.
Passwords are encrypted locally before being saved. The encryption keys are managed by the App's encryption service.
Used only to gate access to the locally stored data (unlock). No biometric templates or PINs leave the device.
The overall protection of your data depends on your device security (screen lock, OS updates).
If you use the App's share functionality, the selected passwords are decrypted and provided to the system share sheet or other apps. Shared data may be received by other apps and services â sharing is irreversible and under your control.
Copying a password to the clipboard exposes it to other apps with clipboard access. Clear your clipboard after use where appropriate.
The App uses these thirdâparty packages:
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will update the effective date and, where required by law, notify you of material changes through the App.

On the Play Console Data safety form, declare that user data (credentials) is stored locally and encrypted. Indicate that the App does not transmit this user data offâdevice.
Declare use of biometric authentication for onâdevice access only.
Declare that users can explicitly share password data via the Android share sheet and that sharing may transmit plaintext data outside the app. Advise users in-app to share only with trusted apps/contacts.
